What to expect
Your colourist starts with a consultation about your hair history, your lifestyle and the exact tone you're after. Then the colour itself, whether that's a full head of highlights, a softer balayage or babylights, a root tint or full grey coverage, followed by a gloss or toner to perfect it, and a finished blow-dry.
Before you go, you'll get your home-care prescription to keep it fresh. We're a two minute walk from Old Market Square, so it's an easy appointment to fit around a working day in Nottingham.

Brassiness, dullness and fade are what happen between appointments, not in them. Your colourist will match you to our Colour Protect range to lock in tone and shine, so your colour still looks fresh at week five.

How often should I come in?
For most colour, every five to six weeks keeps tone and regrowth in check. Gloss and toner refreshes sit nicely in between, and your colourist will map the right rhythm for your hair at your consultation.
Will it damage my hair?
Done properly, colour shouldn't leave your hair damaged. We use bond-protecting products through the service and finish with a treatment where it's needed, then send you home with the care to keep condition strong.
How do I keep it from going brassy?
Brassiness comes from fade and the wrong products at home. Your colourist will prescribe a toning and colour-protect routine, and a quick gloss or toner refresh in the salon keeps your tone true between full appointments.
Do I need a consultation first?
Every colour service starts with a consultation, and for colour correction it's essential. It lets your colourist assess your hair's history and condition, agree the result you want, and give you an honest plan and price.
Do you do balayage and babylights?
Yes, both. Balayage is painted freehand for a soft, lived-in grow-out, and babylights are fine, closely woven foils that mimic natural light through the hair. Your colourist will tell you honestly which suits your hair and how often it will need topping up.
Can you cover grey?
Yes. We do full grey coverage and softer blends that let grey sit as a highlight rather than something to hide. Root tints are usually every four to six weeks, though it depends on how quickly your hair grows and how much contrast there is.
Do you take colour correction from another salon?
We do, and it is one of the things we are known for in Nottingham. Colour correction always starts with a consultation, because putting it right can take more than one appointment and we would rather be straight with you about that up front.
